In the Earth Dome, David, Ivan, Adler, and Kohaku were searching the dome for Kale and Chronos, but no matter where they looked, they couldn’t locate them. Adler cursed under his breath and stated, “Where are those two?”
Adler turned a corner and head butted into none other than Chronos. They both fell to the ground groaning in pain, but the moment Chronos looked at Adler he yelled out, “I can’t believe a girl threw up in your mouth!” Adler immediately kicked Chronos’s face with a dark look.
“Keep your mouth shut.”
Chronos nodded closing his eyes again and noting that this was the second time he was hit that day for spouting out dark secrets. Behind Chronos emerged Kale, who looked at them stating, “I finally found you guys.”
“FOUND US? We were looking for YOU!”
“I guess we kept missing each other.”
David immediately went up to Kale and yelled, “We heard from Tanpopo that Eve was kidnapped. Is that true?”
Kale nodded and stated, “I think one of the faction leaders have her, especially since we slept in a place that was high up.”
Kale then pulled out a metal cylinder and added, “This was in the room, when we woke up. I recognize it as a container for sleeping gas.”
Kohaku peeked at it and added, “I remember the detention center throwing that in the cafeteria when things got rowdy.” They all nodded, while Chronos was confused by their words.
“So any ideas which faction leader would have Eve?”
“I can only think of Askook and Abeera since they attacked us last night, but I can’t rule out Exodia either.”
The detention center group thought which faction leader would be the one to take Eve, especially for her power, but as they thought to themselves, their eyes landed on Chronos, who had no idea he was being looked at.
“Chronos, you can look into the past right?” asked David with crossed arms.
“Can you look into Kale’s past to see if you could find any clues of last night before Eve was captured?”
“I don’t think…”
Adler grabbed Chronos’s shoulder making him flinch.
“You can at least try. Just try not to look too much into his dark past,” stated Adler in an encouraging voice. Chronos gulped and then nodded. He asked for Kale to step in front of him, while the others stood behind Chronos, so he wouldn’t accidentally look at them.
Taking in a deep breath, Chronos opened his eyes looking at Kale. He immediately saw Kale as a young boy running away from flames as children called out to him from within the flames screaming in agony. Chronos shook his head with sweat on his face.
I need to see something else. I need to see last night.
Chronos blinked a few times until the fire covered vision faded and was replaced by Kale looking around the room they slept in last night. He noticed Kale looking at the fire escape of the room, but then Chronos gasped and shut his eyes panting.
“Are you OK?” asked Kale. Chronos nodded and asked, “When we woke up this morning, was the fire escape still there?”
“…Now that you mention it: I don’t think the fire escape was there when we woke up.”
“It’s Exodia!” exclaimed Chronos making all eyes fall on him as he added, “Back in the facility, Exodia would tear down any metal stairs that she saw. It was her hobby like a child playing with falling blocks.”
“So that metal manipulator girl?” asked David. Chronos nodded and added, “She must have saw Eve’s power that night we were attacked by Abeera and Askook.”
David crunched his knuckles and stated, “Looks like we are headed to her faction than.”
Kohaku adjusted his cap and asked, “Do you even know where her faction is located?” David shook his head and then smirked saying, “Doesn’t hurt to ask.”
They soon made it their mission to search for someone who knew where the strong faction was located, not noticing that around the corner Kenji was listening to their every word.
Kenji had heard from Tanpopo that Eve was taken and was about to head to Theo’s office to help with the search, but he never expected that the group Eve entered with would figure out who took her, so he made it his mission to return to his office and prepare to go to the Strong Faction…the first faction he considered joining if he wasn’t convinced by Tanpopo.
Kenji made a vow not to join this strong faction, but if it meant getting Eve back, he was willing to do anything.
