Chapter 19: The Talk?

David and the others sat outside of Tanpopo’s room with redness in their cheeks.

Adler sighed saying, “So Eve got her first period, but she is so young.”

“I kind of expected it to happen sooner or later considering how mature she already looked,” stated Ivan as he wiped the sweat from his brow. Kale and Kohaku nodded in agreement.

Chronos on the other hand was muttering that there was so much blood and how could women go through that making it clear to at least David that Chronos had seen the bloody scene. Luckily, Chronos had not stared at Eve activating his power, but Chronos did seem shakened. It made David wonder if Chronos had never seen a girl on her period before.

David then noticed that Tanpopo had a puzzled look and asked, “Something wrong, Tanpopo?”

“What’s a period?”

“…Were you not given the talk either?”

Tanpopo shook her head and asked, “Can you give me the talk? Kenji told me to wait until I was older, but I want to know now.” David turned red in the cheeks and looked at the others, who looked away with smirks on their faces, while Chronos was shaking his head with his hands over his face. David sighed and looked at Tanpopo saying, “Have you ever heard of piping?”

Tanpopo nodded.

“It’s kind of like that.”

David began to give the TALK, while the others were trying their best to hold back their laughter.

In Tanpopo’s room, Kenji had finished giving the educated Talk to Eve. Eve was blushing as she held the blankets over her lower half.

“So that’s what happened?” asked Eve. Kenji nodded and patted her head saying, “You have finally hit puberty. I would make you red bean rice, but we are low on beans, so just rice will do for this memorable occasion.”

“Will the blood stop?”

“Eventually. From my experience as a doctor, girls’ periods last three days to five days per month, so you have to worry about this about once per month.”

Eve frowned clutching the covers saying, “I don’t like it.”

“No one does, young lady, but it lets you know that you can have babies.”

“Babies?” asked Eve with a tilted head. Kenji sighed muttering that he would explain later.

Kenji soon handed Eve a pad saying, “There should be underpants in Tanpopo’s drawer that can fit you, so discard the bloody ones and put those one with this pad. We don’t want you bleeding everywhere.” Eve nodded taking the pad and then headed to the drawers, while Kenji began to remove the blood covered covers.

As Eve grabbed a pair of panties that she was sure she could fit, she began to remove her blood stained pants and underwear. Kenji heard the rustle of her pants and focused his gaze on the blood covered sheet with a light blush on his cheek.

“You could have waited for me to leave the room.”

“I trust you won’t look,” stated Eve as she managed to place the pad on the new underwear. She slipped it on and then noticed that some of the blood had managed to trail down her legs. Eve sighed and looked at Kenji asking, “Do you have a wipe I can use?” Kenji nodded and removed some wet wipes from his bag and handed them to Eve. Eve took some and began to wipe down her legs.

As Eve did so, Kenji took a peek and saw how slender her legs were. When she was wearing her pants, it wasn’t as noticeable. Kenji had to admit that Eve was quite attractive.

Kenji noticed that Eve was about to face him and immediately turned away with red cheeks. Eve glanced at Kenji over her shoulder and asked, “Do you have any pants I can wear?”

Kenji shook his head and stated, “I’ll give you a blanket to wear for now, until I can find a pants your size.” Eve nodded.

Kenji glanced at Eve stealing glances at her legs without her noticing and then began to wrap a clean sheet around her waist. He tied it in a way it wouldn’t fall off and then nodded before facing her saying, “This should do for now.” Eve nodded with a smile.

Kenji glanced away from her making sure not to let his blush surface and then opened the door to Tanpopo’s room only to be tackled in the stomach by none other than Tanpopo.

“Tanpopo, is something wrong?” asked Kenji as he held the little girl. Tanpopo shook her head with a bright smile.

“The Talk was interesting.”

“Talk…did those guys give you the talk?”

Tanpopo nodded. Kenji was ready to scold the boys for giving the talk to Tanpopo when she was still too young, but paused when he heard Tanpopo speak.

“A period is like a pipe that opens and closes once a month. When it closes the bees will come to get the flowers. The flowers will then turn into a cabbage patch that holds many periods that can form into little people, but this only happens if the bee has a lot of pollen. The bees come from guys who have hot stuff and then give a key to the girl. The pipes will open again after a month if the little people don’t come out. It’s interesting right?”

Kenji stared at Tanpopo and then patted her head before looking at the boys noticing that David was blushing, while the others, including Chronos, were practically rolling on the ground laughing.

“You really have no talent in giving the talk, huh, David?” asked Kenji with a smirk. David looked away muttering that he tried.

Eve peeked out of the room and noticed the guys laughing. She asked what was so funny, but before any of them could speak, David gave them a glare that seemed to say, “Tell her and you die.” They fell silent seizing their laughter.

Eve was puzzled, but decided to let it go. She looked at Kenji and asked, “So can I please get some pants.” Kenji nodded and added, “I’ll also give you some pads, so rest assured.”

Eve nodded. Kenji was about to leave the group, but stopped in his tracks when he heard the speaker of the Earth Dome switch on followed by Theo’s voice.

“I will need the newcomers to come to my office for the meeting. Please come in quick haste.”

Kenji sighed as the speaker shut off and then looked at the others saying, “Looks like you guys need to go now.”

“But what about my pants?” asked Eve with a blush on her cheeks.

“I’ll find you pants, but you need to go now. Just keep that blanket around your waist.”

Eve nodded with a light blush.

The boys finally noticed Eve’s appearance and glared at Kenji wondering if he did anything inappropriate to Eve and the blush on Kenji’s cheek wasn’t helping with his case.

Kenji left the group, leaving Tanpopo to lead them to the office.

As they walked, Tanpopo looked proud of herself making Eve look at her and asked, “Are you happy about something?” Tanpopo nodded and stated, “Your friend gave me the talk and it was super interesting. I can see why you stick with them.” Eve smiled, glad that Tanpopo as warming up to her friends, but she did wonder why Tanpopo found the talk so interesting.

On the other hand, David was hoping to God that Eve would never learn what he told Tanpopo.
