The attack on Kale, Eve, and Chronos was unexpected, so they were currently headed back to Theo’s office to report the incident and to increase security around that area, but as they walked, Kale began to notice the trail of blood behind them and suddenly remembered that Eve was still bleeding. He stopped in his tracks making Eve confused and stated, “We need to find Kenji first.”
“Why?”
“We don’t want people to think that someone is dying.”
Eve blushed when she realized what Kale meant and nodded saying, “Let’s find Kenji.” Chronos nodded in agreement figuring out what their conversation was about.
With this, their destination changed from Theo to Kenji. They asked a number of people they passed by where Kenji was located and they were soon informed that he was in his office labeled the infirmary on the third floor.
They headed toward the stairway to the third floor, but as they walked Kale noticed that Eve was starting to look pale.
“Are you Ok, Eve?”
“Just a little dizzy.”
Kale sighed and picked up Eve making Eve gasp and say, “I really don’t need to be carried and blood might get on you.”
“I’ll be fine, but you are starting to get anemic, so let me carry you the rest of the way.”
Eve stared at Kale before giving out a sigh and agreeing reluctantly. They continued up the stairs with Eve’s arms wrapped around Kale’s shoulders. Eve suddenly heard Chronos gasp and glanced at him only to see that he had fallen on the stairs with a groan.
“Chronos, there aren’t any other people here besides Kale and me, so you can open your eyes for now to climb the stairs.”
Chronos gulped saying, “I really want to be on the safe side. I don’t want to blurt out any unnecessary things.” Eve sighed.
“All right, but at least crawl up the stairs, so you won’t go tumbling down. Chronos nodded and did as told, but Eve couldn’t help giggling when she realized he was crawling up the stairs like a cautious cat playing Ninja Cat.
They soon reached the third floor, but Kale was still holding her as Chronos got up on his feet. Eve was going to insist that it was OK for her to walk now, but Kale was already walking, so Eve sighed allowing the princess carry to continue.
As they walked, Eve took note that there weren’t that many people on the third floor. In a way, the third floor reminded her of the facility making her nervousness of the area grow.
“We’re here.”
Eve glanced up and followed Kale’s line of vision to a door labeled infirmary. Kale placed Eve down now holding her hand and then knocked on the door calling Kenji’s name.
The door opened revealing Kenji with a cup of tea in his hand.
“Kale, what brings you…”
Kenji immediately took notice of Eve, especially the blood around her legs. Kenji grabbed Eve’s hand and pulled her into his office and then looked at Kale and Chronos saying, “Wait out here.” Kale and Chronos nodded as Kenji slammed the door in their faces.
Kenji locked the door with a sigh and then looked at Eve saying, “I better give you some pads and pants.” Eve nodded with a light blush on her cheek.
Kenji went to one of his drawers pulling out a box of pads, underwear for girls, and a pair of pants he managed to find in Eve’s size when they last separated. He handed the items to Eve and then stated, “Change into these. I’ll get you some medicine for the menstruation pains.”
Eve nodded watching Kenji head to a medicine cabinet. As Kenji searched for the medicine, Eve removed the blood covered blanket and underwear she wore and began to change into the fresh underwear attaching a pad to it according to the instructions on the package. She slipped them on and was about to put on the pants, but paused when she noticed that her legs were still red with both dry and fresh blood.
“Kenji?”
“Yes?” answered Kenji as he removed a box of medicine from the medicine cabinet.
“Do you have anything I can use to wipe the blood off my legs?”
“There should be some wipes near the bed.”
Eve thanked him and began to search around the bed. As she searched Kenji had turned around and instantly froze in the spot when he noticed that Eve was bent over showing her bottom toward him. Kenji immediately turned away wondering if he should have given her a talk about awareness around men.
Kenji kept his back turned to the twelve-year-old girl, but he glanced back focusing on her legs.
She really does have slender legs.
Eve gave a cheer when she shot up with a box of wipes in her hand and then sat on the bed removing a wipe from the box. She began to wipe down her legs and as she did so, Kenji watched.
I noticed this before, but she’s also very cute just like Tanpopo.
“Kenji?”
Kenji flinched as he fully faced Eve and asked, “Is something wrong?”
“I was just wondering, but are we really going to be allowed to leave after a week?”
“Why do you ask?”
“Well, those faction leaders didn’t seem keen in letting any of us leave.”
“Well Theo will definitely let you leave so no worries.”
Eve nodded finally slipping on the pants. She fastened the zipper of the pants and then glanced at Kenji saying, “Thank you for your help and be safe.” Kenji nodded and watched Eve approach the door.
The moment Eve’s hand was on the knob, she felt Kenji immediately stand close to her back and whisper in her ear.
“You can stay if you want?”
Eve flinched and shook her head saying, “good bye” quickly and then unlocked the door, running out the door at the same time.
Kenji sighed placing a hand to his forehead.
I guess that’s what happens when one is deprived for too long.
Eve sighed in relief the moment she was out of the door and looked at Kale and Chronos, who were leaning against the wall.
“I’m done,” stated Eve. Kale and Chronos nodded and began to leave with Eve to head toward Theo’s office.
