Chapter 28: Forced Girl Talk

In the Strong Faction, Eve was practically tossed into the shower room of one of the locker rooms in the school. Eve collided into the room and heard a rough voice demanding her to bathe.

Eve was about to do as told, but felt a stabbing pain in her stomach and realized that she hadn’t taken any pain medications for her first period. Eve peeked out of the shower room and asked, looking toward one of the gruff men, “Can I have pain medication? I am having cramps.”

“You can work through it,” stated the man with no feeling in his voice. Eve whimpered, but a locker suddenly slammed into the man like a hammer sending him flying into a wall with blood leaking from his nose.

Eve could hear Exodia chuckle as she entered the locker room stating, “That is no way to speak to a lady, men.” Exodia then slammed another locker on the man knocking him unconscious and then looked at Eve, who was visibly shaking in fear.

“Men can be such animals to not understand the reason a woman is in pain,” stated Exodia and then held a wrapped pad and a bottle of pain killers to Eve adding, “A cycle is a serious pain for us women.” Eve took the items and then closed the curtain of the shower room muttering her thanks in a quivering voice.

Exodia rolled her eyes at the closed curtain and then looked at the remaining gruff men in the room.

“Move out men or do you want to get smashed?”

The men immediately exited the locker room making sure to drag the man knocked out before with them. The moment Exodia heard the door slam shut, she glanced at the shower curtain saying, “The scary men are gone, so you are free to bathe.”

“OK,” squeaked out Eve. Eve removed her clothes and noticed that there were traces of blood on her leg making her slightly cringe at the sight. It didn’t take a genius to realize that the blood was from her menstrual cycle. The blood was so unnerving, that when she turned on the shower, she cleaned the blood off first.

“How is the water, Eve?”

“Fine,” stated Eve and then ran her hair through the water.

“My faction has control of one of the water towers in the town, so as long as it rains, we will always have water to drink and bathe. Much better than that Dome Faction.”

“…But you forced me here.”

“True, but you are strong just like Kenji and I couldn’t take the chance of losing a subject like you.”

“How exactly am I strong and why mention Kenji?”

“Weapon summoning is a strong User ability, dear Eve. As for Kenji,” Exodia licked her lips with bliss on her face adding, “He was quite the fighter in the ring when I found him in town.”

“Fighter…isn’t Kenji a doctor?”

“On and off from what I heard. Actually I think he gave up his practice because he killed a patient during surgery.”

“Killed?” muttered Eve with wide eyes as the water ran down her bare shoulders.

“That’s right. He didn’t explain too deeply about his situation with that patient, but after that ACCIDENT with the patient, he went into street fighting. Such a strong man. He should have joined my faction, but he chose the Dome Faction because of bratty Tanpopo.”

Eve closed the water of the shower saying, “I’m glad he didn’t join your faction, especially if you force people to go through those tunnels just for your amusement.”

“So bitter,” stated Exodia with a chuckle and added, “All my men went through those tunnels and survived just like you. Well, the majority that entered the tunnels, did join the tunnel as the dead, but oh well.”

Eve got dressed fast, took the pain medication, and then flung the curtains open glaring at Exodia.

“I want to go back to the dome.”

Exodia smirked saying, “I already declared you as a part of my faction.”

“Without my permission!” exclaimed Eve and then summoned a pistol in her hand and held it at Exodia’s face. Exodia chuckled with crossed arms.

“Eve, we already been through this. Kill me and I become a Jogus and I can assure you that I will go after you first.”

Eve frowned and dropped the pistol saying, “I won’t kill you. Just please let me return to my friends.”

“Do you mean those boys? They seem pretty strong too, except for Chronos of course. I can let them enter my faction as well.”

Eve glared daggers at Exodia yelling, “I won’t let you put them in those tunnels!”

“All right, all right,” stated Exodia with a sigh. Exodia then glanced over her shoulder saying, “I won’t let you leave, but I can’t exactly leave you alone in my faction.”

“What do you mean?”

Exodia smirked as she spoke.

“Think about it: my faction has no women, except for me, and now you are here. What do you think would happen to you in a den full of hungry wolves?”

Eve felt a lump in her throat when she realized what Exodia meant and clenched her fists deciding to stay near Exodia, but Eve also made a promise to herself that when the opportunity presented itself, she would flee back to her companions.
