Manga Hunter here once again! I have updated Angelic Weapon and I hope to get comments on this one for future chapters.
I also want to make two more manga recommendations. Both of these manga were read when I was in my senior year in high school. Both of these were said to be axed or had a rushed ending, but I can’t forget that the chapters were still good and one of them had a satisfying ending.
Money Ace X (MAX) by: Huh Gook Hwa & Park Kyoung-Lan

Namu goes to a school where all the elite get idolized by the non-elite. Never making it easy to get to school on time, Namu is soon helped by a new transfer student. Who gets categorized as an elite almost immediately?

This manga was the one with the satisfying ending, even though the true ending was basically a side chapter. If you just read the whole manga without the side chapter then the ending would have sucked. Anyway, this manga was filled with laughs with a main character girl who loves to eat meat and a guy character who has everything and doesn’t understand why he finds the main character so interesting. He almost became a stalker. Making money is one of the main driving points of the story, but I just basically paid attention to the comedy and romance of the manga.
Ichi by: Shimozawa Kan & Shinohara Hana

Ichi is a lone goze (blind woman singer) who has become separated from her traveling entertainment troupe. Wondering how she will find her place in life, she carries only a shamisen (a traditional Japanese stringed instrument) and a walking stick with a hidden blade inside. When necessary, she uses her exceptional sword skills to fight off yakuza and other villains.

All right, this manga’s ending wasn’t quite satisfying, since it left so many questions unanswered, but I just leave the missing parts to the imagination. This manga is filled with drama and some amazing fight scenes courtesy of the blind main character. Her back story of how she became blind is tragic, but it is what gives her the strength to survive. I think there are some real historical characters in this manga, but don’t let that influence the storyline.
Those are my recommendations for now and as always please support the creators of these works and the translators when you can. As a side note, these can be read online in English since they are not licensed as far as I know.
